Sunday Morning Bible Class

Our Sunday morning Adult Bible Class normally takes place from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Sundays during the school year and is led by Pastor Schwertfeger.  We meet in the fellowship hall downstairs; all are welcome, and refreshments are provided.

This year, due to the additional services on Sundays because of the coronavirus, we are not able to meet for Bible class on Sunday mornings.  Instead Adult Bible Class is held Wednesday evenings in the church sanctuary from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.  Social distancing and other safety measures are followed.

This Bible class is designed for anyone high school age or older.  It is appropriate for those who are new to Christianity and those who are mature in the faith.  The subject matter of this class varies and includes study of various books of the Bible as well as discussion of issues in Christianity.  Bring your Bibles and your questions; class participation is encouraged!

Understanding Law and Gospel

What makes us, well, Lutheran?  Knowing the proper distinction between the Law and the Gospel, understanding the difference, and realizing how God works through each define us.  Knowing God’s plan of salvation is to know that we are sinners and Jesus Christ is our Savior from sin.  Please join us for our Bible study: Understanding Law and Gospel. Our Bible study takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 pm in the church sanctuary with physical distance guidelines in place.  There is PowerPoint and the audio system is on so that we can see and hear the discussion.  Pastor Schwertfeger is leading us in this Bible Study.  We also have this study live on Zoom.  Contact Pastor Schwertfeger at 608-770-8641 or email him at if you would like more information.
