Thursday Morning Bible Study
Bible study on the book of Revelation Thursdays at 10:30 am
Revelation is a simple book with a simple theme: Jesus is going to win! This fall we are diving back into the book of Revelation. The first couple classes will be spent reviewing what we have covered so far so we can get back up to speed. Class isheld in the church sanctuary so we can practice social distancing. We will be using a screen and projector to view each week's lesson. Bible class is on Thursday mornings at 10:30 am with Pastor Scott. Please join us. We can't wait to study God's Word with you.
Adult Bible Class
Bible study on Joseph Wednesdays at 7:00 pm
Joseph's story is awe-inspiring. From Israel's favorite son to despised brother, from hopeless slave to executor of Potiphar's household, from the apple of his master's eye to being accused of a crime he did not commit, from the stink of an Egyptian dungeon to the throne room of a great pharaoh, Joseph's life is unsurpassed for tragic drama and stunning deliverance. Yet, for all the reasons Joseph had to harbor bitter resentment toward those who had wronged him, we are most awed by his capacity to forgive and his earnest desire to restore his repentant brothers into his fellowship.
Our Bible study on Joseph takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 pm in the church sanctuary with social distancing guidelines in place. There is PowerPoint and the audio system is on so that we can see and hear the discussion while we take a look at God's will for our lives through the story of Joseph. We also have this class live on Zoom for those who would like to participate online. If you would like more information on this class or are interested in joining online, please contact Pastor Schwertfeger.
In-person worship has resumed with new worship times, procedures
The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect our lives and how we worship. We once again are able to hold in-person worship services at Zion. Thanks be to God! However, worship at Zion is a little different than it used to be. We follow social distancing guidelines of six feet, we sanitize between services, we have shorter services to allow for extra time for entry/exit and sanitation, and we operate at 25% capacity by having four worship services on Sunday mornings (8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00) and one on Monday evening at 7:00. Masks are now required at Zion. Wisconsin has a state-wide mask mandate put in place by Governor Evers which started on August 1 and goes until November 21, 2020 for ages 5 and above for indoor spaces. We ask you to please bring a mask to use during worship. If you forget your mask, a limited number of disposable masks are available in the gathering area. At the 11:00 service on Sundays masks are required, the pastors wear masks for the entire service (including the sermon), and there is no singing. Online worship will continue to be offered as well for the foreseeable future for those who need to or prefer to worship at home.
