Worship with us on Thanksgiving Eve at 3:30, 6:00, or 7:00 pm!
This year due to the pandemic we are having three Thanksgiving Eve services on Wednesday, November 25th so that we can worship at 20% capacity in the sanctuary with generous physical spacing between worshippers. To accomplish this, if you are worshipping with us in person on Thanksgiving Eve we ask that you sign up for one of the worship services by clicking on the "Sign Up" button here (or call the church office at 635-4000 so we may sign you up). When you click on the blue "Sign Up" button, it will ask you which service you want to attend and how many people will be attending. When your worship time is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email. You may change your worship time or the number of worshippers from the confirmation email. A Thanksgiving worship service will also be posted on our website if you wish to worship at home.
Are you willing to spend 90 seconds a week on strengthening your marriage? In October 2020 our synod, the WELS, began offering “Marriage Moments” videos online. Marriage Moments are short (seriously, only 1-2 minutes!), weekly videos highlighting one Biblical marriage thought accompanied by a discussion question. Zion's Marriage & Family Committee has reviewed the videos and recommended them. Every marriage has its “moments.” That’s why marriages need moments of encouragement and refreshment. We pray that God uses these Marriage Moments videos to bless the marriages at Zion and beyond.
The Dorcas Society is hosting a Food Drive collection at Zion during the month of November for area food pantries. If you are able to share some non-perishable food items or paper products with your neighbors in need, please bring the items to Zion and add them to the display in the gathering area during the month of November.
"Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?" The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
- Matthew 25:37,40
In-person worship has resumed with new worship times, procedures
The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect our lives and how we worship. We once again are able to hold in-person worship services at Zion. Thanks be to God! However, worship at Zion is a little different than it used to be. We follow social distancing guidelines of six feet, we sanitize between services, we have shorter services to allow for extra time for entry/exit and sanitation, and we operate at 25% capacity by having four worship services on Sunday mornings (8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00) and one on Monday evening at 7:00. Masks are now required at Zion. Wisconsin has a state-wide mask mandate put in place by Governor Evers which started on August 1 and goes until November 21, 2020 for ages 5 and above for indoor spaces. We ask you to please bring a mask to use during worship. If you forget your mask, a limited number of disposable masks are available in the gathering area. At the 11:00 service on Sundays masks are required, the pastors wear masks for the entire service (including the sermon), and there is no singing. Online worship will continue to be offered as well for the foreseeable future for those who need to or prefer to worship at home.
