Family Bible Nights

Zion's "Family Bible Nights" take place occasionally throughout the year.  Family Bible Nights began at Zion as a family-inclusive version of the traditional "Vacation Bible School" held during the summer.  It was hard for families to bring their children to a Vacation Bible School held during the day.  To meet our families' needs, Zion adjusted.  We offered an evening version a few Sunday nights during the summer, and we included activities for the whole family instead of just the kids.  This year we did a Family Bible Night in January in addition to the one that will be held in summer.   The format may change somewhat from year to year, but our Family Bible Nights typically include a fellowship dinner followed by fun, interactive Bible lessons for the kids and informative, helpful presentations or discussions for the adults.

Family Bible Night 2017
Being a Christian Kid in the Electronic Age
Presented by: Sheryl Cowling, MSW, LCSW
June 25th at 5:00 p.m.

The internet, Facebook, text messages, e-mail, chat rooms, cell phones, computers, laptops, and tablets can all have tremendous benefits for the user. However, they can also pose dangers and temptations that 21st-century kids and parents need to know about to have fun safely when using these technologies. In this seminar, participants will discuss ways to make the most of technologies while avoiding the pitfalls.

We will meet for an Arby's roast beef supper at 5:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall.  At 6:00 p.m. the presentation will take place in the sanctuary, while younger children will gather downstairs for the kids' activities.
