Connecting lives and communities to Christ

What's New at Zion?

II Peter Bible Study

Join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 am for our study of II Peter

How can we be sure that we are saved?  God tells us that in II Peter.  How do we know that the Bible is really the word of God and not cleverly invented stories?  God tells us that in II Peter as well.  There are plenty of people who tell lies about God and there are others who believe some things in the Bible, but not all of them.  In the book of II Peter, God tells us why people would do such things and that they will be called to account before him.  The short three-chapter book ends by talking to us about Judgment Day.  Would you like to know more about what God says about the above?  We recently started our study of II Peter in our Sunday morning Bible class.  Please join us; we’d love to see you there.  Bible study is held on Sunday mornings from 9:15am-10:10am in the fellowship hall downstairs at Zion.

Lodi Christmas Lights Parade

Saturday, December 14th

Zion will be having a float in the Christmas Lights Parade in Lodi on Saturday, December 14th.  Would you like to help us?  We will need people to hand out items to those attending the parade.  If you are interested or would like more information contact the church office.  We will be meeting at a Zion member's home in Lodi for an early dinner at 4:00 pm to leave us plenty of time to prepare for the parade.  For those attending the parade but not participating in the float, we kindly ask you to cheer us on as we share an invitation to the community of Lodi to come and worship Jesus Christ!

Christmas Worship Opportunities

Worship with us this Christmas!

We invite you to join us this Christmas for worship and fellowship!  We have a variety of special services planned to help us focus on the true reason for the seaon, Jesus Christ.  We know what truly makes Christmas special is that God so loved the world that he sent his Son to earth for us -- to suffer, die on the cross, and rise again -- to pay for our sins!  Thanks be to God!

Christ-Coffee-Coloring

Christmas Party on Saturday, December 14th

Join us at Zion in the lower level fellowship area for Christ-Coffee-Coloring from 8:30 to 9:30 am on the second Saturday of the month.  Pastor Schwertfeger will lead a morning devotion, followed by coffee and coloring time.  A variety of adult coloring pages featuring Bible verses and coloring supplies will be provided.  This month, on Saturday, December 14th, join us for our Christmas party.  Please consider bringing a dozen Christmas cookies for a cookie exchange.  We will be putting out all the extra coloring sheets from this year for you to take home or give to friends.  Begin your Saturday morning with a devotion, then exercise your creative side and enjoy some Christmas treats while you get to know some Zion members.

WELS Wind Ensemble Concert

Sunday, December 8th

The WELS Wind Ensemble invites you to its annual Christmas concert!  The WELS Wind Ensemble is a group of area musicians who are members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.  This year's concert will be held at the Fall River High School auditorium on Sunday, December 8th at 2:00 pm.  There is ample parking and no stairs.  Enjoy sacred and secular Christmas music along with some Christian fellowship.

Lunch with Friends

New women's devotion group begins in January

A new devotional group for women will be starting this winter.  Join us on the third Thursday of the month from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm for lunch at a Zion member's home.  Following lunch, a women's devotion will be held.  This is an opportunity to meet with friends and share the Word of God together.  Winter can be hard on many of us, so let's get together for fellowship.  Our first Lunch with Friends will take place Thursday, January 16th at 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Contact the church for location information and to sign up, or you can sign up outside the secretary's office at Zion.

Mornings with Mommy isn't preschool, and it isn't childcare; it's something different.
