Summer Sermon Series
Samson: Are You Strong Enough?
Join us beginning June 24th for our summer sermon series: “Samson: Are You Strong Enough?” In this series we will follow a judge of ancient Israel, one of whom the book of Hebrews refers to as a hero of faith. Yet when we study Samson we also see that he struggled in his faith…often. Although stronger than an ox, his temper and lust often got the best of him. Come and see this unlikely hero. What does God teach us through Samson? How can God use us to His glory even when we fall short of the glory of God so often? How does God show us His strength, His grace, His love? Let’s find out!
Love Without an Agenda: Living Christ to Neighbors, Co-Workers & Friends
Sunday, August 5th from 5:15 - 7:00 pm
We live in a divided, divisive nation. We are bombarded with the philosophy that all who don't agree with you must be hated and vilified. Where the opinion of the mass is what the moral compass is and a tweet can send a nation into a free fall. Yet here we are, where God has placed us and called us to be his followers, in uncertain times and places. The early Christian Church was known by their love and compassion in communities that were hostile to them and their message. It seems God has placed us ini similar times. The time has come for us to step out of our comfort zones, put aside our "always being right egos," and follow Jesus' lead and see how God is calling us to be his followers, who love without an agenda.
All are invited to join us for our Family Bible Night, where we will learn how to "live Christ" to neighbors, coworkers, and friends. Click here for more information.
Monday Evening Worship
Mondays at 7:00 pm through August
Going out of town for the weekend? That doesn't mean you won't be able to join us for worship. Continuing through August we will have Monday evening worship at Zion at 7:00 pm. Join us in a relaxed atmosphere as we give praise to the Lord and grow in the knowledge of him. We are so thankful that God doesn't take a vacation from us. Lord, help us remember not to take a vacation from you this summer.
